Grace's Antler and Pine Needle Class

Students will need to bring:

1. Gourd about 8 to 10 inches wide, about 9 to 11 inches tall, cut as per photo, well cleaned out and painted inside. NOTE: the blue finish on this gourd must be done ahead of class since the dye needs to cure for at least 2 days. Instructions will be sent when you are enrolled. If you do not want to do this blue ahead of time, other colors of dye will be available on the day of call.

2. Awl and Drill with 1/16 inch bit (there will be a drill with the correct bit size to share in class)

3. Heat setting tool, (if dyeing in class)

4. An extra gourd if you want to learn how to do the blue dye, (but you will not be able to use it the same day for this project)

Instructor will provide:

1. Tutorial

2. Ink Dyes

3. Antlers - you will choose the one that fits your gourd and pay for it in class

4. Pine needles, sewing needles and waxed Irish Linen

5. Recycled Sari Silk Yarn
