Who We Are

We are one of the largest regional groups of the California Gourd Society (CGS) We have approximately 75 members.

The San Diego County Gourd Artists is a non-profit charitable all-volunteer organization. We are a fun diverse group of gourd Artisans, Growers, and Crafters that encourage the artistry of Hard Shelled Gourds.

We provide information and educational services to our members by supporting the sharing of ideas, skills, and techniques. Our meetings are held every other month at various locations in San Diego County. Some of our events include hosting classes, and providing demonstrations besides participating in fairs, festivals, retreats, and sleepovers throughout the year. SDCGA & CGS Membership is renewed each January.

The purpose of the San Diego County Gourd Artists is to interact with fellow gourd enthusiasts targeting issues of sharing, education, training methods, techniques, and information about shows, fairs, festivals, and related gourd gatherings.

We invite you to join our fun gourd group, and attend our meetings and activities.

Our Mission:

The organization is organized exclusively for educational purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
