SDCGA Members Only Class - Thunder Drum

Students will learn how to turn a gourd into a thunder drum. The key is your creative design. You’ll be using long handled dipper gourds because I think they have the most personality. Be thinking of how you’ll design yours and we’ll provide what you need to make a drum.

Students will need to bring:
A design Idea for your drum, Inks or Acrylics and brushes for your design, A pencil A power carver or dremel A wood burner if you need it for your design.
Instructor will provide:
Clean and cut gourd tutorial, acrylic paint for the gourd inside, goat skin, spring, and tacks.
