• Bring a brown bag lunch • Beverages and cooler will be available.

• Bring items to sell

Students will learn how to carve three different patterns on their gourds and then how to apply Gourd Master metallic Aqua Shimmer dye -- so that it looks like patina.

Students will need to bring:

• Gourd about 6 to 8 inches wide, opened, well cleaned out, and painted inside.

  Note: if the hole is cut near the top of the gourd (as in the photo) it will make the topmost pattern more visible

• Carver with all their burs

• Rifflers if they have them (or other favorite sanding tools)

• Heat setter

Instructor will provide:

• Tutorial

• Dyes

• Gloves

• Paint brushes

• Felt pads for dye

• Polyurethane spray
